As part of a major technology transformation programme our client is seeking a Solution Architect with experience in Fleet Management or Asset Management project delivery.
Principle Accountabilities / Responsibilities for the Solution Architect:
- Perform the role of Solution Architect within a Fleetwave transformation project, ensuring the proposed design/ change meets the agreed solution design principals, ensuring a best practice solution design and build.
- Responsible for the design of the Technical, Solution and Transition Architectures.
- Work with internal and external teams to ensure the delivery of a best practice solution design that meets business requirements, design principles and is value for money.
- Provide expert guidance and technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial conception to implementation and deployment, ensuring solutions meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Work with Transformation programme architecture team to ensure that a holistic view of the end-to-end architecture across the application architecture is maintained.
- Work with project/ programme teams with a delivery focus to ensure build, migration, testing and cutover activities are successful; ensuring design objectives and design principles are maintained.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with solution implementation, proactively mitigating risks and developing contingency plans to ensure successful delivery.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including solution architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications, and communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Review all internal and external created solution documentation to ensure they meet best practice
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with a track record of designing and delivering complex, enterprise-scale solutions.
- Experience of working in a Fleet Management or Asset Maintenance application landscape.
- Deep understanding of software architecture principles, cloud technologies, modern development methodologies and tier one ERP software applications (e.g. MS Dynamics D365)
- An understanding of the Azure Integration Services tools and services used to integrate cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a proactive and collaborative approach to driving results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF,) are a plus.
