SAP Data Migration Manager
Accountability:
Delivers the data strategy, approach and plan and executes accordingly. Accountable for coordinating data migration activities across all areas of cleansing, purifying and extraction. Support the ETL activities performed by the systems integrator. Support the business with all data related activities including remediation, archiving and localisation requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Management of day to day activities of the Data team (matrix team)
- Management and control of programme deliverables, risks & issues, data objects inventory, L3 data migration plan and L4 trackers
- Daily and weekly status reporting and tracking relating to the data workstream
- Providing guidance and direction to SI Data Migration
- Management of data migration activities performed within the solution deployment team, namely supporting development of data repositories, data extraction criteria, data analysis and reporting, providing guidance on and supporting data purification, data constructs, data mapping, readiness for mock conversions, Co-ordination of Pre and Post data validation, data migration and cutover
- Ensuring support for the business teams involved in data migration
- Interface between business teams and SI delivery team
- Support IM&T on data remediation / data restatement activities in retained applications
- Ensure alignment with master data management team
- Develop the approach with IM&T Team to support local data maintenance for on-going data maintenance
- This role has 2-5 direct reports, but will be required to work in a cross-functional team as required to complete project tasks
Key Skills:
- Hands-on deployment experience with a minimum of 6 years experience in a similar role within large SAP Programmes
- Ability to provide technical and management leadership
- Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
- Ability to operating in a matrix organisation and manage 3rd parties
