Inside IR35 - 6 Month Initial Contract - Remote - SC Clearance and British Nationality required

Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Talend Data Integration Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data integration solutions using Talend DI. The candidate should have a strong understanding of data integration principles, ETL processes, and hands-on experience with Talend DI tools.

Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data integration solutions using Talend DI.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

ETL Processes:

  • Build and maintain ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources into target systems.
  • Optimize and tune ETL jobs for performance and efficiency.

Datamodelling:

  • Design and implement data models to support data integration processes.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the integration process.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and workflows.
  • Provide documentation for troubleshooting and support purposes.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including database administrators, data analysts, and business users.
  • Participate in meetings to gather requirements and provide technical expertise.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot data integration processes to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing ETL jobs as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Talend DI Developer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of ETL principles and data integration best practices.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Talend Data Integration tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Datamodelling and database design.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and querying.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Talend certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • PL/SQL.
  • Perl Script.
  • GitLab.
  • Git commands.
  • Microservice API.
  • JSON.
  • XML.

Must have:

  • SC Clearance (active).
  • British Nationality.
