As a leading technology company our client is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to work closely with the MD to lead and shape our ESG and sustainability strategies on a global scale.
You will be responsible for comprehensive reporting, aligning with ESG, Scope 1, 2, and 3 and ensuring compliance with the ISO 14001 Standard. Working alongside other departments in the business, you will set objectives, monitor progress, and report on key deliverables.
Sustainability Analysts Key Responsibilities:
- ESG & Sustainability Strategy: Craft and implement a dynamic ESG and sustainability strategy that resonates with our corporate ethos, addressing global standards and investor expectations.
- Scope 1, 2 and 3 reporting: Manage the gathering and analysis of environmental impact data, showcasing our progress and commitments.
- ESG & Sustainability Reporting: Produce annual reports in line with regulations, global frameworks, and investor requirements.
- ISO 14001 Standard Management: Oversee the enhancement of our Environmental Management System (EMS), maintaining its certification.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships across various levels, including employees, clients, and industry partners, to foster a collaborative approach to ESG.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Lead impactful sustainability programs focusing on resource efficiency, ethical sourcing, and circular economy principles.
- Ethical Practices: Uphold and promote ethical operations.
- Community Engagement: Develop and maintain community partnerships.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to ESG.
- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends.
- Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with suppliers to advance sustainable practices and ethical sourcing.
- Glidepath to Net-Zeo: Develop a clear transition program.
Sustainability Analysts requirements:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in ESG, sustainability, business, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred, with special consideration for recent postgraduate applicants.
- Reporting Knowledge: Awareness of ESG reporting standards and relevant certifications.
- ESG Expertise: Familiarity with ESG reporting, Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, and BSI 14001 management.
- Communication and Leadership.
- Analytical Thinking: Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team Inspiration: Ability to motivate and guide teams towards ESG objectives.
- Commitment to Sustainability.
- Passion for ESG: A strong desire to contribute significantly to our ESG ambitions.
- Proven Track Record: Experience or demonstrable interest in creating and implementing ESG processes.
- Leadership Experience: Exposure to ESG & Sustainability, preferably in the workplace technology sector.
- Strategy Development: Insight into sustainability management and strategic planning.
